Comments: My family and I are beyond saddened to hear that our Nation has lost one of it's finest Hereos.....Lt.Neil Keltner. I first heard of Mr. Keltner 20 years ago when my father in law Bill Waller (C-troop Sept.66-67) shared his experience of the 11th Cav in Vietnam. The convoy ambush of Nov.21,1966 on high way one into Xuan-Loc truely tested every mans Bravery and Valor. Lt.Keltner not only answered the call, he defined it! We will continue to share the life and memory of those who rode with the Black Horse, because in our hearts Lt. Neil Keltner wears the Medal Of Honor.

Comments: I am looking for any info about NOLAN BYRD..... he was a MEDIC & KIA.... I went to high school with Nolan, but have never the circumstances regarding his death. I knew his family and they are equally vague about his death. I was also aMEDIC with the 1st Cavalry Division later on n the Vitnam conflict and would interested to hear of any info or pictures that you might have of him.

Comments: I just got a message from my brother that someone had contacted him about our uncle, Carver Joe Vaughan, who served with the 11th Cav and perished in Dec. 1970.
Neither one of us had the opportunity to know him personally. All either of us have are stories that have been passed to us from our family.
I am just glad to have some way to remember him and find out more about him and his service to our country.

Comments: Thank you for this web site. Such a beautiful way to pay tribute to your fallen brothers. I am so very grateful to each of you for guaranteeing the freedoms I enjoy, the ones so many did not live long enough to pursue. Two families and I are now awaiting news that the human remains sent to the lab in Hawaii last September 2011 are those of our loved ones and friends. They are Blue Ghosts from C Troop 7/17 cav who flew a Huey out of Chu Lai on that fateful January 9, 1968 morning. The pilot was my friend, CWO Rainer S. Ramos, his co-pilot was CWO James Larry Phipps, the doorgunner is SSgt. Warren E. Newton. They had previously recovered the other crew member's partial remains, PFC Fred Secrist nine days after the Huey was shot down. Again, thank you for this site!
