I served from Nov. 68-69, with the 919th Eng. I drove E-2-2 and I was the one who gave the track it's name (HEAD HUNTERS). I rode with Patton thru the rubber plantations, all over Tay Ningh Provance and on into Cambodia were we got B-52ed once we got there. Also if I remember right, The 1st Inf. flew in about 80-100 troops and we pushed jungle for 3 to 4 days and they would get the KI count and they would fly off and a day or 2 later the 25th Inf flew in with about the same amount of troops and we pushed jungle for 3-4 days and off they go and finally the 101st come in, same results. But I believe Patraus (spelling) was in command of the 101st and was there at that time. My memory is getting bad, so does any body remember any of this? If so please E-mail at address. THANK YOU!
