Hi Ladies,

Kathy and I are looking for someone who will be attending the reunion this year and lives in Florida, that would be willing to accept the responsibility of recieving our cookbook order, and would be able to bring them to us at the hotel on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. I am not sure at this time how many boxes that will entail. They are packed about 50 to a case and we are ordering 300 - 400 books. So that would probably be about 8 cases.
Please contact me ASAP if you can help. We have to have this information before we send in our order. If we have no one for this we will be unable to order them at all. If we were to mail them to the hotel to hold for us it would cost a lot in storage fees (last I heard it was somewhere in the vacinity of 50 dollars per box.)

Delores Tyree, at last years reunion you stated that you would be willing to accept any deliveries for this year fund raiser. It is now time for us to place our order for our cookbooks (vol 2) and need to know if you are still willing to accept them and bring them to us at the hotel.

My mother-in-law is making the prayer shawls, but needs information on where to send them. She found the instructions on how to make them, but not where to send them. If anyone could please fill me in on all the information she needs, I would be greatly appreciative.

Oh my really upset with your reply. My husband was a vet and just passed away a yr. ago. At the moment I am looking into Va health insurance CHAMPVA does anyone else out there have it and how well does it pay? really confused? Right now I am paying for BC/BS which is really costing me but I know it pays good! thank you for your input, welcome any suggestions. :!thinking:

Good morning ladies,
I just wanted to drop you a short line to appologize if you e-mail me today and I do not respond right away. I will be off of my computer most of the day.
We lost our beloved 13 and a half year old Chihuahua Poncho this morning. This is very hard on our entire family as he came to us when we lost our first one Poco 13 years ago. He helped then to mend our broken hearts and fill a big hole in our lives. He was a constant companion to us, he even went to church and shopping with us when he was little and would fit into our coat pocket. He always was at the door and greeted us when we came home with a puppy kiss and tail that you thought would fall off from wagging so hard.
It's going to take a little while to get our lives back to normal and not expect him to come running and get between my feet when i least expected him too. We will all really miss him sooooo much. He took with him a big part of our hearts and life. We do still have Peso (our Chicuahua/Jack Russel mix and he is such a joy and comfort to us. He knows his brother is gone and so is sticking very close today.
So anyway please understand if I don't respond to you right away.

I need to find out how to file for Military Disability Benefits.

Admin reply: Have you contacted your local VA officer? Or try somewhere on post.
Good luck. I applied to go to the VA and they turned me down. They said my husband (who is retired and goes to the VA ) makes to much money for me to go. So I guess even though they took my DD214 and know that I am a vet - it means NOTHING. So I guess my time in the Army was nothing but a waste of time. Really hurt by it.

And Mini Golf sounded like so much fun. One summer my son Mark made a mini golf here and the kids in town really had fun playing. We also have the Niobrara State Park right close and the campers from there enjoyed it too. I was getting rather good at it. When our youngest son was in High School Rodeo, alot of the time we would stay at the KOA camp grounds. Some of them would have mini golf and we always enjoyed a good game after an intense round of bull riding. Ya put that one on the back burner Barb. Sounds like the meeting went well, won't be long and we'll all be baskin in that Florida sun! Blessing to you. :!cool:
