Thank you both for responding to Linda. As you can imagine I am just swamped right now with registrations and Ladies stuff.
Could one of you (or both) please stay in touch with her and perhaps latch on to her during the reunion. We don't want to make her feel alone or unwelcome.
I haven't seen a registration for her yet so you want to encourage her to get one in so she will be able to attend the bunkers and the banquet.
Keep me informed.

We always look forward to new VIetnam veterans and/ or family members attending the reunions. Like you and your sister some are just now finding the web site or being contacted by the 11th ACVVC or a friend. You will be very much welcomed. If you're like most you are kind of nervous about attending but come on. Dress code? We dress pretty casual--jeans- shorts (no short shorts), or what you're comfortable in. Banquet night is clothes you would wear to church or an office job, etc. There are some who wear more formal wear but mostly just dressy. Hope this helps.

Hi Linda. I was so moved by your comments. I have 5 brothers and know how special a brother is. I am so sorry you lost Sam so long ago. What unit was he with? I hope you are able to attend the Indianapolis reunion in September. You will find it uplifting.

Hi ladies. I am seeking volunteers to sit at our Women's Group Fundraiser table. We will be selling the remaining 100 cookbooks. We need volunteers for Wednesday Sept 11 from noon to 4, and Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 6 pm in 3 hour shifts.

I am Sam S. Allison's sister. My sister Lorri Lantz and I have just found out about your website and reunion and may attend this year. We have been thrilled to find information and pictures of our brother, known to y'all as Sam or Doc. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions as you can imagine to discover this after so many years. The pictures especially are precious as we have so few as children. It reminds me how very young he was when he was KIA. Thank you.

Ladies,
It is being suggested that we maintain our own funeral announcement site on the web fpr the passing of females (spouses, girlfriends, mothers)of our Blackhorse men.

This would be nice but we will need someone to handle this. Therefore I am turning to all of you to ask for a volunteer to handle this.
You will recieve instruction as to how to do this job from the BOD and the mens funeral honor guard.

Ladies,
PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ON TO ALL THE LADIES OF THE BLACKHORSE THAT YOU KNOW.

OUR LADIES MEETING WILL BE A SALUTE TO THE MOVIES!

WE ASK THAT YOU COME DRESSED AS YOUR FAVORITE ACTRESS OR ACTOR OR YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE TITLE.

WE WILL HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHER TO TAKE PHOTOS IN FRONT OF OUR RED THEATER CURTAIN.

WE WILL BE DOING SOME FUN GAMES THAT WILL INVOLVE THE MOVIES AS WELL AS GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER.

THERE WILL ALSO BE FUN SURPRISES (TO TAKE HOME) AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO COME DRESSED IN COSTUME.
