Comments: Reunion is quickly coming and soon the registration forms will be out. I am starting to plan this year women's meeting. We are planning to hold our meeting aboard one of the St Louis paddlewheelers. I NEED to know how many woman are interested in attending. We have a choise of two trips. #1 - a simple one hour cruise (snack available onboard) #2 - a lunch cruise lasting about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. There is a charge for both trips. I will let you know how much. But RIGHT NOW I need to get an idea on who is interested and for which one. Please email Barb at puppytoes8@gmail.com and let us know.
Comments: I've had the privilege of corresponding with BG John (Doc) Bahnsen in the past. He served in the same battalion at the same time as my Dad during his first tour. Dad was a 'Rattler' while Doc was a 'Bandit'. I read Doc's book which he so genrously autographed for me. Wow, a truly amazing account of his time with the 11th ACR. You guys were the best! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you in the Blackhorse for your service to our Nation and, WELCOME HOME! I have alot of appreciation for MY Vietnam Vets. May you all have a Happy, Healthy '11. Respectfully yours, 'Pat'.
Samuel was assigned to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (Blackhorse) at the time of his death. 11th Armored Cavalry Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia are attempting to locate relatives of all of our Troopers who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. Comments: The Ladies of the Blackhorse are working on a project that involves the female soldier. If you have a daughter or niece or wife or sister or aunt or cousin or a friend (or whomever) who is serving in our current conflict please send their information to Barb Moreno at puppytoes8@gmail.com We would also be interested in knowing of all male soldiers also for a different proposed project. Thank you Barb M.
