I served in K Troop 3/11th ACR as a Scout in 1981 - 1982 in 1st platoon. I would love to locate friends from that time. My platoon sgt was Busby, others I remember were Sgt Fogle, SSgt Urich, SSgt Hill from Dallas, Sgt Williams. 1SGT Brewer E-7 a stern but fair man. I was the TC on I think it was K-12. Daryl Lynch was a good friend, and my last two roomates were Thomas Jackson and Grimm. Love my time there. Thank God I served stateside first, if it had been the other way around, I would not have survived. The play army at Ft Polk would have undone me after serving in the REal Army, The CAV. CAV for LIFE.

I'm posting here to thank all our vets who gave so much over in Vietnam. My father was Andrew A LeBlanc, who served with the 11th Armored Calvary from November '69 (diesel mechanic) to March of '72. He was briefly in E-troop as a mechanic, then moved to driver for the 113th. He was promoted to Sergeant E-5 then moved to Bad Kissenging Germany for six months. He returned to the 11th ACAV and did several missions on or near the Tayninh Province as a track commander.

If you served with my father or know of him, any info on his time there will be greatly appreciated. He lived a good life and enjoyed his grandchildren very much. He passed away in March 2009 of brain cancer.

HILARIO!! Tried to e-mail you but it didn't work. Here is Eddie Cruz e-mail address. ecruz1@qwestoffice.net I hope you can reach him. Were you in the first platoon A Troop? I was on A13 with Steve Young, Rodney Dyer and Angel Pagan. Saw Eddie, Angel and Steve at the D.C. reunion on 10/09 along with Paul Doc Esbrand Earl Rutchick, and others. They all looked great. Good luck. If you need to contact me, you can reach me at walkenman@yahoo.com

Reunion is quickly coming and soon the registration forms will be out. I am starting to plan this year women's meeting. We are planning to hold our meeting aboard one of the St Louis paddlewheelers. I NEED to know how many woman are interested in attending. We have a choise of two trips. #1 - a simple one hour cruise (snack available onboard) #2 - a lunch cruise lasting about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. There is a charge for both trips. I will let you know how much. But RIGHT NOW I need to get an idea on who is interested and for which one.
Please email Barb at puppytoes8@gmail.com and let us know. :)

I've had the privilege of corresponding with BG John (Doc) Bahnsen in the past. He served in the same battalion at the same time as my Dad during his first tour. Dad was a 'Rattler' while Doc was a 'Bandit'. I read Doc's book which he so genrously autographed for me. Wow, a truly amazing account of his time with the 11th ACR. You guys were the best! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you in the Blackhorse for your service to our Nation and, WELCOME HOME! I have alot of appreciation for MY Vietnam Vets. May you all have a Happy, Healthy '11. Respectfully yours, 'Pat'.
