PLEASE READ AND HELP THE FAMILY OF ONE OF OUR KIA’S....Since 2009 Judy Dietz, the daughter of PSgt Glenn Nicholson (H Co...KIA 5/5/68) has been working to get the state of Kansas to provide ‘Gold Star Family’ license plates for the families of those killed in action from WWI to the present. The ‘Gold Star Family’ plates differ from ‘Gold Star Mother’ plates in that ‘Gold Star Mother’ plates are issued only to women who lost sons. At this time, the Kansas legislators are just dragging their feet. Her’s what I’m asking:

Go to website: www.change.org
In the upper right hand corner is a link to search for petions.
Enter the words Gold Star and do a search
When the petition comes up, you’ll see a picture of PSgt Glenn Nicholson.
Please sign the petition.

The entire process takes only a few minutes, but Judy will really appreciate your support.

I served in K Troop 3/11th ACR as a Scout in 1981 - 1982 in 1st platoon. I would love to locate friends from that time. My platoon sgt was Busby, others I remember were Sgt Fogle, SSgt Urich, SSgt Hill from Dallas, Sgt Williams. 1SGT Brewer E-7 a stern but fair man. I was the TC on I think it was K-12. Daryl Lynch was a good friend, and my last two roomates were Thomas Jackson and Grimm. Love my time there. Thank God I served stateside first, if it had been the other way around, I would not have survived. The play army at Ft Polk would have undone me after serving in the REal Army, The CAV. CAV for LIFE.

I'm posting here to thank all our vets who gave so much over in Vietnam. My father was Andrew A LeBlanc, who served with the 11th Armored Calvary from November '69 (diesel mechanic) to March of '72. He was briefly in E-troop as a mechanic, then moved to driver for the 113th. He was promoted to Sergeant E-5 then moved to Bad Kissenging Germany for six months. He returned to the 11th ACAV and did several missions on or near the Tayninh Province as a track commander.

If you served with my father or know of him, any info on his time there will be greatly appreciated. He lived a good life and enjoyed his grandchildren very much. He passed away in March 2009 of brain cancer.

I was on A13 with Steve Young, Rodney Dyer and Angel Pagan. Saw Eddie, Angel and Steve at the D.C. reunion on 10/09 along with Paul Doc Esbrand Earl Rutchick, and others. They all looked great. Good luck. If you need to contact me, you can reach me at walkenman@yahoo.com

Just want to say thank you to all who sent my mom a birthday card. She turned 90 yesterday and when I talked to her last night, she was so excited about all the cards she had recieved. So far she has gotten 55 cards. Thank you so much everyone. I haven't heard her sound so happy and young in a long time.
See you all in St Louis.
