Comments: to Carol Bolan Phelps My husband was in Vietnam when your uncle MSGT Robert Louis Bolan was there. My husband was E-Trp 69-70 2nd Squadron. He remembers your uncle & he has a couple of books that mentions your uncle in them. One is by SEWALL MENZEL-- named BATTLE CAPTAIN and another that has been out for several years which is INTO THE STORM by FRED FRANKS & TOM CLANCY. Fred Franks was in Vietnam when your uncle & my husband was there. Some libraries have Into the Storm & you may have to look for it at some used book stores or on the internet if interested in finding a copy.
Are you by any chance going to try to come to the reunion this year in Indianapolis? You would be more than welcome to come. We always welcome "1st timers" and they can usually find someone who knew their relative while he was there. Some served a long time with them & some only a few weeks or months with them. There was a lady that came several years ago & found several guys that knew her brother when he was in Vietnam & were there with him when he was KIA. Sharron Christian wife of E-Trooper Gus

Comments: Trying to contact Bob Moreno to inform him of the correct spelling of my name for the reunion name tags and packets. On the "See who is registered" list on the reunion page my name was listed under I Troop as "Carles" it should have been Charles. I wanted to get a message to Bob and Barb before they make my tag and packet uo so as to avoid any confusion or problems, also to whomever is updating the registration list so that when they update again they can correct the entry. Thanks to everyone.

Comments: I am still trying to locate the photo of Sgt. Charles C. Matthews that I had at the Louisville Reunion when the monument was re-dedicated at Ft. Knox. At the dedication ceremony, one of the Blackhorse members asked to see the picture of Charles and he said that he would return it to me after he had it published in the 11th Cav. quarterly magazine. He did not give me his name or address, but assured me that he would return it to me. This was one of the last pictures taken of Charles and I would really like to have it back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
