Your help is needed at the reunion. We MUST have help at the womens table. I understand and appreciate the fact that you want to do some visiting with friends you only see once a year, I would too, BUT we have to staff the sales table. So volunteer some of your time.

OKAY, it looks like we have 4 tickets available if anyone needs them.
We have 4 ladies who did not send in their money so we no longer are holding tickets for them.
The cruise line folks have said they will allow us to adjust those 4 tickets off our total cost if no one wants them.

Hey Barb,

sorry I haven't been on for a while, my son decided he needed to make my computer accessable to just about the entire state. Took a while to get it reformated and all that junk. Anyway, more pressing things to talk about.
The receipt I sent you was just to let you know the kind of things I have been buying and sending to our troops. Since I didn't have but 4 women respond, I have been filling and mailing the boxes on my own. I had been wanting to do something that would make a difference and this makes me feel like I, (just one person) can make a bad situation a little better for someone else. I would be willing to bet I made everyone who received anything, got a good laugh and a smile. I happen to love to play jokes on people, everyone at least got either a "Hoot de jour", or laugh of the day. Just simple stuff, pieces of toilet paper glued to a page in a few books, snakes that jump out of toothpaste boxes, left-handed stationary, and stuff like that. Oh yeah, my personal favorites were taking rolls of TP and writing messages in piglatin. Long messages, but always a prize at the end. I did this because I wanted to, plain and simple. I don't want this wonderful feeling of actually being in a position where I could be that one person making a difference. That is all I want. I want to make even one person smile, jump, laugh or any positive action to make their day better. Some of their days are pretty bad, some not so bad, and hopefully some pretty good, just because of the kindness of strangers. And that's us.
Now, did you get our payment for both the registration fees and the fees for the boat? I paid for Chris too. Have no idea what Rick was thinking, much less what he did. So I'm clueless.
Also, please add my name to help with the tables. Just let me know when and where and I'll be there.
I know I have more questions, and a lot of them have to do with your disability situation. I've been on SSA and Medicare for 16 years. I have questions. Anyway, I'll catch up with you later.

This is the last call. I MUST have all monies for the cruise NOW!!! I have been very nice and patient about the deadlines that we're set but no more.

Attention ladies. IF you are a military spouse and find yourself having to go on disability, DO NOT DO IT!!!!! I found out the hard way.
I am on 7 different meds (2 that are MAJORLY important to keeping me alive) and am on disability. Several months ago I was informed that I was being put on Medicare because I can no longer work. Well, they (soc. sec.) proceeded to take about half of my disability check. I called and asked why and was told it was for 'part B', it would be used to pay for my meds. It did not matter if my medication bill was $5 a month or $600 a month (which is what it is)it would still be $115 a month. But - since TriCare pays for my meds I could request to drop part B with the understanding that I could not restart it for 3years and even then it would have to be approved by a board. So I dropped it. Today I went to pick up said meds and was informed by my pharmacy that I did not qualify for my TriCare anymore. When we called them I was told it was because I am on Medicare. I explained that I do not have part B that I was told because I had Tricare I did not have to have it.Was then, rudly, told by TriCare that I was stupid to believe that and if you are part of the federal gov't. you MUST have part B. SO now what I ask? We don't know, we can't halp you I was told. So for at least the next three years, Not only can I not get my meds but TriCare will not pay for any doctor visits. The only thing I now have is Medicare part A for emergency hospitalization.
So much for the military taking care of their own and the so called federal gov't being 'honest' and careing about people having health insurance. HA!
