Remembering one of our own. On this date, forty five years ago, Silver Star Recipient Sgt. Cary Siler gave his life in defense of his 11th Cav brothers. May he rest in peace.

I would like to hear from any Trooper who was involved in building or dedicating the Blackhorse Memorial in the spring-summer of 1967 (the one that stood in front of the Regimental Chapel at Blackhorse Base Camp until it was moved to Fort Knox in 1971).

Registrations are certainly coming in slowly this year. There are only 146 days left to send yours in before you will have to pay a late fee. SO DO IT NOW! If you find later that you have to cancel, we can certainly see about getting a refund for you.
The hotel is nearly full so we know there are alot of you out there who are planning on going but just haven't sent in that registration form yet.
Fill it out now and get it in.
It's looking to be a GREAT weekend for all.

My brother-in-law was Masaaki G. Oda, who apparently was a part of the 11th Armored Calvary in Viet Nam and Cambodia, H Company. He passed away last October and my wife and I are hoping to get more information about his miliary experiences. He retired and lived in Henderson, Nevada after a long residence in the Long Beach area of California. We know nothing of his military experiences (i.e., where he was stationed, was he in Viet Nam or Cambodia, what was his MOS?). Any information at all by those who may have known him or any references to other sources of information would be much appreciated. Please contact me at the above email address. Thank you,
