Just wanted to let everyone know the Bill Anderson B troop fell off of the roof and broke his leg and had surgery and is now in rehabilitation. It will be 6 weeks before he will be able to put any weight on it. He is at the Iron Mt. Michigan. V.A. Please keep him in your prayers.

I am writing a family history and am seeking stories, information, photos, etc. about ROBERT LEE “BOB” JAMES (b. 1945, KY - d. 2002, Midland, TX), spouse of Susan Syron, md. Sydney, Australia while on R&R in Nov, 1969. Based in Fort Knox, KY., Bob was career military. He served in Vietnam circa 1969-70 with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment and later in peacetime 1974-? in Germany. Any assistance of information, contacts, or references, etc. is appreciated.

I have a military knife (Gerber) engraved as follows:

Bob Tompkins
Vietnam
Nov 1966-Jul 1968
1 AUSI Regiment
11 Armd Cav

It also has his social security number on it.

This knife was purchased in Afghanistan in a market by my cousin's son, and was given to me a couple of years ago. I am trying to locate Bob Tompkins.

Does anyone know where I can find a recipe for what my father-in-law called "Tankers Punch". I suspect it is some variant of the Cav's grog.

Max did two tours in Vietnam - Lieutenant Colonel - armored cavalry. In the early 70s he made a punch for our wedding that he called "Tankers Punch". what I think I remember was a crate of lemons, multiple liquors (rum etc. ?), sugar... and we let it settle for 2 days.

Any thoughts about the precise recipe?

thx
