Comments: Fellow troopers - I am looking for assistence. I was temporally blinded aboard the USS Upshur in August-Sepember 1966. I was assised by a few guys down the stairs and into the infirmery. The ship's crew bandaged and assisted with my eyes. I was blinded for nearly 24 hours. I attemped to get ship's medical records without success for my VA claim. I was told that if someone helped me or knew of my situation I could get a buddy statement basically saying they either assisted me or knew of me being blinded. I was diagioused with macular dengeration at 32 yrs of age. Can anyone help me???

Comments: Hello. My uncle, Julius "Billy" William Morris, Jr., was killed on Jan. 25, 1968, in Vietnam. If anyone knew him or served with him, or has any information they could share about his passing, it would be sincerely appreciated. Since he died before my birth, and my father passed many years ago, I only know of him from family conversations years ago. I was able to track him to the 11th Armored Cav through online research. Thanks, and God Bless.

Comments: This message is for Cheryl Rose. I served with your brother, Robert Hall in the 2nd Platoon, I Troop, 11th Cavalry in Vietnam. I don't remember a lot about your brother or, for that matter, a lot about my days in Nam. I keep in contact with Nick Soehnlen and Mark Crist. They would be the best to talk to. Email me at mlsteffen65@gmail.com and I will give you their contact information. I have attended several 11th ACVVC reunions but will not be at the next one in Orlando. I am sure any I Troopers attending will welcome you. Best regards.

Comments: My uncle, Robert Lee Wright served in D Company, 1st Sqdn. He passed away from Agent Orange induced stomach cancer on 29 April,2008. I wish he would have spoken about his time in service more than he did but I know he was proud to have been in the Blackhorse.Thank you all for your service!

Comments: I was with K Troop 3/11 68-69 and would like to find someone who was there the night my lead track 3/0 hit a land mine and thru me out of the track and wounded and a medic had to put a tracheotomy in my throat to keep me alive until medic evac chopper came to pick me up and I would like to find out the medic name to thank him for saving my life.I have blocked Vietnam out of my life for all these years. I can not remember any of the men names that I was there with cause I kept to myself cause that was who I was back then. Lately a few names have come to mind and I can't remember there full names so here is the names I know. Ford-Rose-Little-Moran-Van Buran-Woody-LT.Stillwell and I am not sure I spelled the names right so if you know me or someone on this list I would like to finely talk to someone about that night in Vietnam. Thank You Mickey Farlow
