Comments: The state if Kansas is processing a bill, HB2132 that slaps all our Kansas KIA’s & their families in the face. It has already passed the Kansas House of Representatives. HB2132 will provide ‘Gold Star Family’ license plates, but give ‘Gold Star’ status to any service person who dies while on active duty. Circumstances of death are not a consideration. Tragic as any death is, the bill is written such that it will include death by overdose of an illegal drug, death due to drunken driving, death while committing a crime, and death as the result of any irresponsible behavior. The only requirement under this bill for Kansas ‘Gold Star’ status is simply death while on active duty. If you think this is OK, do nothing. If you think this is unacceptable, contact me at: jkhien@att.net

The website said the only RV park down town. Don't know what the area would be like. Also I know that there is a park at Pere Marquette State Park at Grafton Il. about 30-45 minutes away.

Comments: Gentlemen,
Looking for individualized "names" that were painted on in-country Army copters 1962-73. I'm closing in on the 3,100 "name" count so far collected, documented and cataloged. Book is to be published and readied for Summer 2011. Hundreds of never-before-published pics and "name" database will be contained in a 2-vol set. Contributions and input welcomed. Respectfully yours, John Brennan, former SP5, 114 AHC, 1970-71, Vinh Long AAF, Mekong Delta
